Codere Online Partners with NFL in Mexico to Enhance Sports Betting Experience

Codere Online has announced a significant multi-year partnership with the National Football League (NFL), becoming the league’s official betting partner in Mexico. This agreement comes as the NFL season launches in the United States, aiming to deliver new experiences to Mexican sports betting enthusiasts.

The collaboration will see Codere Online gain sponsorship rights for major NFL events, including Super Bowl LXI and the highly anticipated NFL Mexico Game. Scheduled for 22 November 2026, the event will feature the San Francisco 49ers facing the Minnesota Vikings at Mexico City’s Estadio Azteca. Codere Online will also have a presence at activations surrounding the 2027 Super Bowl in Los Angeles.

Exclusive Fan Engagement and VIP Experiences

Under this agreement, Codere Online customers in Mexico can expect a wide range of exclusive opportunities. These include hospitality programs, VIP experiences, and special activations in various cities across the country. Fans will also have access to official NFL merchandise, further deepening engagement with the league.

Carlos Sabanza, director of sponsorships and public relations at Codere Online, emphasized that this partnership reinforces the company’s premium positioning and long-term commitment to the Mexican market. “This agreement strengthens our premium positioning while underlining our long-term commitment to Mexico, a market with an extraordinary passion for the NFL,” Sabanza stated.

Growing Presence in the Mexican Sports Betting Market

Mexico continues to serve as a vital market for both the NFL and Codere Online. The country stands out as one of the NFL’s largest international markets and remains Codere Online’s key territory. In the second quarter, Codere Online reported €36.1 million in net gaming revenue from Mexico, marking a 24% increase year-on-year.

Chief Executive Aviv Sher noted the company’s intention to maintain investment in Mexico, even as regulatory frameworks remain uncertain. “Right now we are working based on a framework of laws which you cannot even call regulation, from 1947,” Sher told iGamingBusiness. Despite the outdated regulatory conditions, Sher expressed confidence in Codere Online’s ability to adapt and remain competitive.

Looking Ahead: Future Opportunities in Mexico

By partnering with the NFL, Codere Online aims to leverage high-profile events and unique fan experiences to boost customer engagement and expand its footprint in Mexico’s dynamic sports betting sector. The agreement is expected to set a new standard for sportsbook promotions and fan activations in the region.

With the NFL’s strong following in Mexico and Codere Online’s growing market share, both parties are poised to benefit from this alliance as they deliver innovative offerings to fans and bettors alike.
